Reid Poll...???
Need a Reid Poll...

Stay or Go...?

Now or End of Contract...?

I say sell him now for anything over 5 million...

If not let him run down his contract...

Rumours are Arsenal will bid 4 million...

He's shown in that first half how crucial he is to us. Keep him till the end of the season.

Seems to me that he is on loan to us until the end of the season.

Tell him he's not going anywhere until June regardless, then he has to either give 100% or play in the stiffs.... No brainer

Re: Reid Poll...???
As a few have said, i would be straight with him and say sign a contract or rot in the reserves until June. Dent his confidence a bit. this prick was no where before joining us.

If he's got his heart set on a club, then I suspect he'd leave on a free.

Talk of getting £5 million is delusional in my opinion.

Oh shut up you tragic sad old cunt.

Re: Reid Poll...???
We want Jenkinson, they want Reid, either straight swap now or let him see his contract out.

This is on the basis that the extra points he's likely to help us win will earn us more in prize money thru league position than the few million we'll get if we flog him now. Also, as a by-product of the probable higher league position, we'll be a better prospect for any possible summer signings.

wansteadman 9:59 Tue Jan 6
Re: Reid Poll...???
In the summer we will need to find £16m + just to keep the side as it is (jenkinson and song) so if we need to buy another decent centre half as well can we really see us spending £25m+ just to stay where we are

I see arsenal are after some 29yo French defender...

He may be a free transfer but is he worth 70-80k a week...

Re: Reid Poll...???
Reid is a cultured defender who has developed leaps and bounds under our stewardship, but he owes us nothing.

He's an ambitious and talented young man that has consistently put in assured performances in claret and blue. He likely feels he has one career and if he can make that top club move then now is just the right time for him to engineer it.

Life without Reid will be just fine, the consistency he's shown over the last two/three years has dropped with his work rate as clearly this issue is affecting his football. The fact that his head is not in it and he's still picked as first choice speaks volumes about his ability.

The lad would have made captain here and he'll be missed but if a replacement can be found who is stronger than Tomkin's then in my view we'll notice very little. If the replacement prefers to play rather than punt, he'll be alright in my book.

Anyway if we as a club continue our current trajectory over the next three years then we'll be that club that the top quality aspires to.

So if Reid has the chance to play with more quality internationals around him for more money with a new challenge then good luck to him. We should cash in now, let him go, any monetary value is really irrelevant as he's been a good professional ambassador for the club.
